Volunteer Support
OCTOBER
2006 --- EAF is most currently in
need
of one or two people to
work at the reception desk of the office. The hours can be
quite flexible, usually four hours at a time, once every week or
even every two weeks. The responsibilities include answering
(multi line) phones, receiving visitors, informing staff of visitors'
arrivals, making and offering beverages and occasionally stuffing
envelopes or some other light office projects. And don't forget
there is a special parking spot behind the building reserved just
for the "Desker"! Best of all: the staff is very
friendly, and there are excellent opportunties to meet new people
in your community. Deborah or Darren would sincerely appreciate
the chance to talk with you about becoming part of the Evergreen
Team at 360-671-0703.
We provide volunteer support
to anyone with HIV / AIDS living in Whatcom or Skagit County, so
your heart and hands are always welcome at EAF.
Evergreen AIDS Foundation
remains committed to its origins as a focal point for volunteers
coming forward to provide services, care and support to PLWH. Evergreen
provides recruitment, screening, and training for volunteers. The
volunteers provide such services as in-home care, chore services,
food delivery, buddy and emotional support, outreach and education.
In addition, there are
always opportunities forcaring people to support the staff at EAF,whether
it is at one of our special events, stuffing envelopes or answering
phones. Call or come by for a copy of our Volunteer Application, then
arrange to meet with Darren or Deborah to schedule tasks that suit
your interests and your schedule.

We appreciate your time and consideration.
